Duplomatic hydraulic systems bu - the padua plant gets a makeover
In May, the modernization activities of the Padua production site were completed.
The Padua production site of Duplomatic's Hydraulic Systems BU completed the modernization activities in May, after six months of intense activity.
This Duplomatic Group site is dedicated to the design and construction of custom-made systems for metal forming and presses, recycling, offshore and Oil & Gas. Thanks to the incorporation into Duplomatic MS Spa, it will work in close synergy with the Lainate site, specialized in the sectors of machine tools, machines for plastics and rubber, steel and energy.
The renovation project involved the definition of a new factory layout, with new assembly areas suitable for meeting the highest standards of quality, organization and efficiency, to which a new logistics management system was added, featuring a specific area for the storage of components to be used in the construction of the systems. The storage area is now equipped with a modern automatic vertical warehouse and all logistics transactions are now processed in the ERP system through tablets connected to a powerful new wi-fi system, which covers the entire production area.
The project involved first and foremost all the employees of the Padua site, who actively worked to contribute both with ideas and suggestions to the renovation project, and in a practical way, each according to their corporate duties. Over twenty suppliers were involved, specialized in various fields (logistics and warehouse, IT, automation, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, lifting equipment).
The entire activity was carried out in business continuity, ensuring production and service to the market throughout the entire period of operations. This required a great organizational commitment and brought results beyond those which had been set.
The changes made confirm the commitment of Duplomatic's Hydraulic Systems BU to become a company of excellence in the design and implementation of custom-made systems in multiple application sectors.
