Rail transport is evolving towards ever-greater speeds. To support this, lines have to constantly be in a perfect state of maintenance, with automation systems capable of meeting the most demanding safety requirements.
High-voltage breakers and points are devices installed along railway lines, often in areas that are not easily accessed and are subject to the most challenging environmental conditions. Automation of these devices involves components that communicate via bus with the grid, monitoring the operating status and any faults: the reliability of the system determines the punctuality of trains and safety of passengers and maintenance personnel.
