LTE Lift Truck Equipment: greater efficiency in test benches with Daikin SUT technology

The collaboration between Duplomatic MS and its distributor Mekoil has led to the introduction of a high-efficiency Daikin SUT solution in the end-of-line test benches of LTE Lift Truck Equipment, a company that manufactures forklift masts for Toyota, based in Ostellato (Ferrara), Italy.

The need arose from the desire to improve the energy efficiency of the hydraulic power unit serving the test benches, overcoming the limitations of a traditional configuration designed to provide virtually constant power, even when the actual application demand is lower.

Mekoil, a Duplomatic and Daikin distributor, proposed a solution to LTE Lift Truck Equipment based on Daikin SUT technology, part of the Duplomatic Motion Solutions offering, identifying it as an alternative to the existing configuration and developing the revamping project according to the specific requirements of the application.

 

From fixed speed to power on demand

The original configuration consisted of a 15 kW three-phase motor, a double fixed-displacement gear pump and a combined high/low-pressure circuit.

The new solution integrates a Daikin SUT00D6021 high-efficiency hybrid unit, installed on a new 300-litre tank and providing a flow rate of up to 60 l/min.

The system uses a variable-speed motor-pump unit, electronically controlled according to the actual demand of the test bench.

The rotational speed is therefore adjusted to the different phases of the cycle, making it possible to deliver the required power without keeping the system constantly running at full speed.

This approach reduces the losses associated with traditional operation and allows energy consumption to be adapted to the actual requirements of the application.
