Energy Savings by Duplomatic MS and Daikin

Never as in 2022 has there been talk of energy problems; the entire manufacturing industry is experiencing a very complex period due to the increase in the price of raw materials, to which must be added the disproportionate increase in energy costs. It is precisely from the difficulties that visionary companies draw the stimuli necessary for development and progress; does the cost of electricity increase? We find the solution to consume less energy in production processes.

Duplomatic MS did not stand idly by.

Thanks to the acquisition by Daikin, Duplomatic MS now makes energy-saving power units available on the market, using the technology already tested by Daikin in air conditioning systems. These are motor-pump units dedicated to industry, with the aim of drastically reducing electricity consumption.

The constant displacement gear pump is driven by an internal permanent magnet synchronous motor managed by an inverter, capable of delivering high torque even at low speed. Its efficiency compared with the traditional high-efficiency induction motor is much higher and exceeds the IE4 class which will be adopted in asynchronous motors in the next year. In low power groups, denominations "ECORICH" the energy consumption is reduced by 65%​​compared to a traditional hydraulic unit. While in the higher power groups, up to 37 kW, SUPER UNIT denominations, the energy saving stands at 50% compared to traditional groups.

How is all this possible?

First, much of this outstanding performance is due to the Daikin IPM motor; secondly, the management with inverter allows to use instant by instant only the flow rate required by the system with consequent drastic reduction of the heat produced. In most applications, the heat exchanger is not needed to keep the fluid at an adequate working temperature. Furthermore, the SUPER UNIT control panel has from 8 to 16 pressure and flow rate values ​​that can be set individually in the cycle. So a high flexibility. A much more efficient P/Q control than what can be obtained with the classic variable displacement pump.

From today, the manufacturers of operating machines who intend to adopt this new technology will be able to highlight this PLUS in the product catalogues, which will certainly be well appreciated by the end user.
