The food and beverage sector is an extremely dynamic and competitive market, where high productivity and efficiency are key: machines for the creation of preforms and blow-moulding are operating continuously and predictive maintenance avoids unexpected downtime, guaranteeing continuous production.
These machines require the highest performance levels, and use electromechanical and electrohydraulic axes for movement. The PLCs manage the axes with Ethernet-based field buses to ensure fast communications, while the IO-Link protocol is used for command and acquisition of auxiliary data and instrumentation.
Thanks to electric actuators it is possible to manage an extremely wide range of speeds; it is possible to adjust the working stroke according to the height of containers and bottles and, ultimately, very high thrusts can be generated for the type of machines used.
