DESCRIPTION

The AKW are circulating type chillers with inverter-controlled compressor, for water / water glycole fluids. The Daikin original IPM motor compressor allows high performances in terms of energy-saving. Power consumption can be checked on the control panel.

The AKW chiller series is composed by 12 models, with or without pump and tank.

The circuit with bypass for hot gas and electronic expansion valve allows highly accurate temperature control of the refrigerant, thus control of the water temperature is very accurate  (±0.1 °C, in the whole operating range, in ambient temperatures within 5 to 45 °C).

These chillers can control the temperature in three different ways:

  • Keep the fluid temperature constant
  • Set the fluid temperature according to the ambient temperature or to the main machine temperature
  • Cool the fluid at constant capacity

The AKW chillers are perfect in applications that demand a strict control of the temperature, such as machining centers, NC lathes, semiconductor production equipment, laser cutting machines/laser oscillators, electrical discharge machines, beam welding machines and medical equipment.
