DESCRIPTION
The EDC-1 is a digital amplifier for controlling open-loop proportional valves, with plug-in mounting on the coil's DIN and DIN or M12 electrical connection side.
It delivers a current proportional to the reference signal and independent to temperature variations and load impedance, with a resolution of 1% on full scale 2600 mA. Powering the solenoid via a PWM stage reduces valve hysteresis and improves control accuracy.
The EDC-1 range offers different maximum current and switching frequency (PWM) settings, depending on the type of valve to be controlled. Parameter adjustment is via push-buttons and display, or via laptop PC with EDCPC software and connection to the RS232 socket inside the device.
