Duplomatic Hydraulics Shanghai
On 11 December 2014 Duplomatic kicked off a new initiative by opening the first Duplomatic start-up in China, to do light manufacturing and assembly on a group of defined products. An initiative to increase competitiveness by cutting delivery times and costs thanks to local production.
The result was, therefore, assembling the products in China but bringing the test benches from Italy to ensure the same level of quality, replicate process standards and offer this market the widely appreciated value of Made in Italy.
It was a successful operation from the very beginning: from a small initiative, after 6 years, Duplomatic Hydraulics Shanghai is a team that, at Group level, now has a total of 10 people between operational and sales development staff, again constantly growing.
The investment, in fact, is still underway to increase the number of products to be manufactured in China and to combine the Duplomatic offer with that of Hydreco Hydraulics, already present in Asia before joining the Group.
Hydreco is, in fact, deeply rooted in India and Australia: the goal is to strengthen commercial coverage in China also for products for mobile applications.
New for 2020
From December 2020 Duplomatic Hydraulics Shanghai has a new headquarters with offices and operations to host:
- the commercial offices
- the operations for the assembly of the products with the highest turnover
- the official repair center for electronic valves in order to shorten service times for high-tech products used in the Chinese market, but for now still produced in Italy.
Limei Tang is the operations manager at Duplomatic Hydraulics Shanghai: she has a long experience with other multinationals. Quiaoquing Xu is Duplomatic Hydraulics Shanghai Sales Manager: he has been with us for 12 years and has a deep understanding of the market.
How will 2021 start?
One of Duplomatic's next challenges is the marketing of electromechanical actuators for automation, a complex challenge that requires flexibility and technical skills on site, because this type of product needs a great customization also in terms of size and, for this reason, the installation must be done directly by the customer according to the European and Chinese standards.
